I believe our lives, and all of the experiences in between, can be marked by distinct phases.
Landing that first job. Getting married. Having a baby. Losing a job. Coming out to our friends and family. Starting a business. Illness. Making that first hire. Getting divorced. The death of a loved one.
Each of these experiences not only shape who we are, but also have the power to shape the decisions that we ultimately end up making for ourselves.
While we can’t go back in time and change what has already happened, we do have control over how we choose to live today and tomorrow.
To move forward in these unpredictable often weird times, it’s required of us to start looking at everything with the end in mind.
That sounds more morbid than it should. But it essentially means we no longer have the luxury to just wait for what we want.
We can no longer afford to overthink or overanalyze or take for granted the people, places, ideas and opportunities that come our way. Everything, even the bad and really ugly stuff, matters and has the capacity to lead us to something good…if we’re open to it.

Do you like the life and/or business that you have created for yourself at this very moment?
If the answer is NO, you represent the majority of those reading this. Most of us have NOT figured “it” out yet. We’re failing forward, screwing up all the things and learning tough lessons along the way. As we should be.
Thinking of the end means working backwards; starting with what we actually want and taking the steps necessary to make that happen now. Not later.
We plan to one day travel for example when it should be the other way around. We should be traveling while we plan.
We wait to take the leap in starting that new venture/blog/project when we should just start and give ourselves grace that we will eventually figure it out along the way or ask for help when we need it.
Affirmations to consider:
Today I am planting the seeds for a life beyond my wildest dreams.
Today, I am filled with everything I need to build a business or career that I am proud of and changes the lives of other.
Today, I am making room and space for the love that is headed my way.
Today, I am ready & open to everything that comes my way.
We can no longer afford to wait…begin :)
