5 Power Decisions Women Must Make in 2022

I often wish time would slow down a little, but on the other hand, I’m ready to bid adieu to what was a challenging year for so many, including myself.

Today, I’m putting it out into the universe… 2022 is going to be a remarkable year.

Especially for women.

Not perfect or without struggle, but a year of important decisions and possibilities…if we’re ready to make the changes needed to manifest them.

In numerology, 22 is referred to as a Master Number; double-digit numbers that repeat the same number (such as 11, 22, 33, etc.). Master numbers are considered to be extra powerful and purposeful.

The most powerful number of all, 22 is often found in the charts of people who are doers, leaders, and visionary builders. These are individuals who are capable of turning wild dreams into solid accomplishments

So what does all of this mean for the new year?

2022 represents a chance for women to rebuild new structures for their lives and careers in this “new normal”. It will also be an opportunity to embrace more balance and love in every aspect of our lives, personally and professionally. We often hear the phrase “love yourself” and that most certainly should be a strong mantra to uphold, but I’m also talking about love of career fulfillment, wellness and physical health, adventure, and most importantly the love and support of other women. Truly just being in love with every aspect of your life.

I’m committing to making the following five power decisions for 2022. We often forget about our resolutions, but decisions are more finite and lasting. I hope you will join me:

I WILL FORGIVE MYSELF

Mistakes are like those golden tickets in that movie, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. They are like little presents from heaven. Why? Because they tell us exactly what NOT to do moving forward. When we screw up, we are being gifted with a clearly defined road to success. Even if we don’t realize it at the time.

We’re leaving behind feelings of shame and guilt for all of the things we’ve done wrong in the past.

Thank you to the universe for another chance to get it right.

I AM A SPECIALIST

There are close to eight billion people on the planet. I think it’s realistic to believe that there is probably someone out there who’s also working towards the same goals that you are, but one thing is certain – there is only one YOU.

Get focused. Think boldly. Stand out! How will you distinguish yourself from the rest? As women, we try to be all things to all people and that is simply not possible. In this new year, identify what makes you unique, what you do really, really well and make a conscientious decision daily, weekly and monthly to incorporate that into the goals you’ve established for yourself.

 I AM EVALUATING THE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE

Every time the seasons change, I go in to my closet and take a look at what pieces of my wardrobe can stay and which items I need to pack away until the seasons change again. I also take that time to see what still fits or if there’s anything I have outgrown. I think you can apply this same practice to the people you connect with.

Do they still fit? Have you outgrown them? Or like that really cute dress you’ve only worn once that’s hidden in the back of your closet, maybe you’ve forgotten how fabulous they really are?

I AM INVESTING IN MYSELF

Let’s take it up a notch ladies. We can do so much better. The biggest investment you will ever make is the one you make in yourself.

If you’d like to be paid to create content, invest in a great course on digital media and content strategy. If you want to start your own business, invest in the resources needed to craft an intelligent, thoughtful business plan. Or if you have an existing business and want to take it to the next level, take a good hard look at your budget and determine how much of it you can allocate towards a professional mentor or business coach.

Personally speaking, my goal is to continue working out, get in even better shape and to take my professional pursuits to the next level financially. I made an investment a year ago with fitness pro Rachel Dillon and her Move With Us platform. She has built a positive and uplifting global community of women on a mission to be their best selves. It was one of the bright lights from 2021.

We often fool ourselves in believing that there’s always going to be time to do the things we really want to do. That is just not true. Tomorrow is not promised. If you aren’t passionate about the life you are currently leading right now, it’s time to change it.
